In 2010, a meeting of MWAS Secretaries in Madurai led to the formation of FeMWAS (Federation of MWAS). Recognizing that individual districts faced challenges in achieving their goals, the secretaries decided to create a unified body to support and connect each MWAS. FeMWAS was established to serve as a bridge between individual societies and the government, facilitating communication and collaboration.

Our mission is to empower destitute Muslim women through the provision of resources, education, and support, enabling them to attain self-sufficiency, dignity, and fulfillment in life, while embracing the strength derived from their faith and cultural heritage.
We envision a world where Muslim women facing poverty are championed to achieve self-sufficiency. Through comprehensive education, economic opportunities, and a nurturing community, they lead fulfilling lives and contribute their unique talents to society. We strive to create a society where communities collaborate to educate and uplift destitute Muslim women, fostering a network of support that empowers them to break the cycle of poverty. Our aim is to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to build a brighter future for themselves and their families.
